Relax On The Beach Vacation Rentals is prepared for Hurricane Delta and you should be, too. The National Weather Service says Delta is now forecast to strengthen into a major hurricane (Category 3) before moving into the Gulf of Mexico.

Tropical Storm Delta is forecast to turn more to the north and northeast prior to making landfall as a hurricane, but precisely when that turn occurs will determine the extent of impacts our local area will experience. It is important to note that even if the storm makes landfall well to the west, our area we will see a threat of storm surge, dangerous surf and rip currents, heavy rain, isolated tornadoes and strong winds.

Due to the large amounts of erosion caused by Hurricane Sally, coastal flooding is also possible. Residents living along the Fort Morgan Peninsula, Plash Island, other low-lying areas, and those residing in mobile homes, campgrounds and RV parks, should begin taking all necessary precautions to protect themselves and their property.

You can find the latest updates for Hurricane Delta on the Gulf Shores website.  What else can you do? We strongly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance at all times, but especially during hurricane season.  Insurance will provide peace of mind knowing that you've protected the investment you've made in your vacation. You can also refer to our Relax On The Beach Hurricane Policy for more details.
