Pack your wags and head for Gulf Shores this summer.  Your best pet friendly vacation rentals and your best pet friendly beaches are ready for your visits with lots of summer fun.  What better way to relax on the beach than with your best pet pals?  And, once you see that our pet fees are much less than the cost of boarding your pets, you'll know this is a place to bark about.

Relax on the Beach Vacation Rentals welcomes pets and their well-behaved humans!

First, having the right pet friendly rental is most important and Relax on the Beach Vacation Rentals has a fine collection of pet friendly homes. Here are three rentals we highly recommend for your summer getaways.

Changes In Attitude

Located on the gulfside of scenic Fort Morgan Road, the Morgantown community features two swimming pools and two tennis courts.  There are four community beach access points and boardwalks to the only pet friendly beach in the Gulf Shores area.

Yearning for some Sunshine? You'll feel right at home in this pet-friendly beach house. Sunshine has a light, airy interior and a kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances.

Never take a chance and leave your pet in your vehicle, even with the windows open.  It's just too hot and temperatures inside your vehicle are ever hotter than the outdoor temperatures.  Instead, choose adventures where your pet can enjoy them with you.

Fort Morgan allows dogs on its public beaches, so long as they are on a leash. Gain access from inside the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Another access site is at the end of the peninsula near the Fort Morgan State Historic site.  Also, an alternate point of entry is just past the refuge visitor center off Mobile Street.  Parking is on a first come, first served basis.

Next, Dauphin Island's public beaches are pet friendly and open to the public year round. Pets must be on a leash and there is a small fee in Spring and Summer.  Parking is first come, first serve, but you can reenter as often as you like on the same day by showing your parking pass.

Head back into Gulf Shores and the Gulf State Park where you can hike along the dog-friendly trails for a nature outing.  The Dog Pond at Lake Shelby is a great place for your dog to explore the water.  It's $2 for a daily pass and leashes are required.

Then, Unleashed in Orange Beach Dog Park has separate fenced areas for all sizes of dogs. You'll find training stations, water stations and plenty of benches with shade.  It's open daily for free from sunrise to sunset.

Finally, how do you top a great pet friendly outing while you're here to relax on the beach?  Cool drinks and excellent food, too!  We're long time fans of Kitty's Kafe at Pelican Place in Gulf Shores.  For the best homestyle meals served with true Southern Hospitality, you'll want to dine here.  Sit outside with your pets and enjoy a wonderful, comfortable dining experience and support their work with pet adoptions, pet rescue, pet fosters and more.  Bring a framed photo of your fur pal and add it to the pet wall inside the restaurant.

Pack your wags for Gulf Shores.  It really is something to bark about!
