any act embodies the place to which country music has evolved in the
new century, it is Rascal Flatts. Since their inception a decade ago in
1999, the trio has helped change the face of popular music. Their
trademark sound--Gary LeVox's powerfully emotive lead vocals coupled
with the soaring harmonies of Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney, set amid
world-class arrangements and production, have made the band the
standard bearers for cutting-edge country. Drawing on Nashville's best
tunesmiths and their own enviable songwriting skills, they have
released, in songs like "These Days," "Bless The Broken Road," "What
Hurts The Most" and "Take Me There," some of the most important and
successful music to come out of Nashville in recent years. Along the
way, they have placed 10 #1 singles and 20 Top Tens, seen every one of
their studio albums go multi-platinum, with total sales approaching 19
million, been the ACM and CMA top vocal group every year since 2003,
and won multiple American Music Awards and People's Choice Awards.

Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The Orange Beach Festival of
Art is held each year on the second week-end of March. It has been an
anticipated annual event for nearly two decades and this year will be
part of the state tourism department's Year of Alabama Small Towns and
Downtowns. Juried artists from the region and around the nation come to
display their work at the first fine art and fine craft show of the
season. Located on beautiful Wolf Bay, the festival is held on the
Orange Beach Arts Center's campus and the adjoining Waterfront Park.
Adding to the long tradition of fine arts and fine crafts, the 2010
Festival will add four complimentary attractions. A Literary Arts Tent
with house regional and celebrity authors, book readings and book
signings. The new Drama and Dance Stage will see performances of
theater troops and dance performances. For our youngest artists the
Children's Art Alley plans more than half a dozen hands-on exciting art
experiences. At the Songwriters and Musicians Stage guest will enjoy
the amazing regional talent as songwriters share their songs, play and
sing for everyone.

Gates open 7:00 p.m. Showtime: 8:00 p.m. Get your tickets here For Corey Smith, one of the best things about making music has always
been getting the chance to hang out and have a good time with his
friends. And it's still that way, nearly 10 years after his early days
of playing the bars around Athens, Georgia. The big difference now?
Well, it seems these days Corey just has a lot more friends to hang
with. Corey Smith is one of modern country's hottest young artists, a
quintessentially indie performer with a dedicated following most
Nashville-fueled hat racks would trade their flashy limos for. Not that
he's gotten carried away by all of the adoration, though.

"For me, making a record isn't just going in and having fun," says Tim
McGraw. "It's going in and digging and digging and trying to get what's
inside of me out, and never quite getting there. And that's what keeps
you going back and trying again."
This dedication to honesty and integrity has helped make McGraw not
just a country music superstar, but one of the biggest names in all of
music today. In his record-shattering career, McGraw has sold over 40
million albums, and dominated the charts with 30 Number One singles.
Since the release of his debut album in 1993, he has won three Grammys,
14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association
Awards, and 10 American Music Awards, while simultaneously maintaining
a parallel career as a successful actor.
